Worldwide Business Research (WBR), the folks behind Future Branches events and other quality industry content, recently completed their annual industry survey on what emerging technologies will be transforming the banking industry. 

 

A whopping 96% of bank and credit union executives indicated that a better customer experience and stronger relationships are the most important outcome for any new technology.

 

No surprise - AI and improved customer digital experience are the top areas for technology investment.
A few key insights from the report:

- 96% of executives say they will consider leveraging AI-powered chatbots in the next 12 months

- 85% believe personal digital platforms that connect customers with agents or bankers differentiate or would differentiate their institutions

- 66% plan to operate virtual branches in the future
