Agent IQ announces Smart Control to help financial institutions govern the knowledge that powers AI

New solution extends Agent IQ’s Smart Drive with review, approval, versioning, and auditability to reduce compliance overhead and support responsible AI adoption.

Austin, TX -- May 12, 2026 -- Agent IQ, a provider of AI-powered solutions for financial institutions, today announced the launch of Smart Control, a new governance solution that helps banks and credit unions manage the institutional knowledge that powers AI and staff guidance.

As financial institutions expand their use of AI, the quality, control, and compliance of institutional knowledge have become critical to responsible adoption. AI assistants are only as reliable as the information they are allowed to access. Smart Control helps institutions ensure the policies, procedures, documents, and resources used by staff and AI are reviewed, approved, current, and aligned with internal standards, while reducing the manual effort required to manage compliance-related content updates.

The solution enables institutions to create rules-based approval workflows, manage review frequency and publishing controls, and maintain timeline reporting to support auditability and accountability.

Smart Control works alongside Smart Drive and Smart Assist as part of Agent IQ’s broader AI platform for financial institutions. Smart Drive centralizes approved institutional knowledge. Smart Assist helps staff quickly access generative AI-powered answers grounded in that knowledge. Smart Control governs how that knowledge is reviewed, approved, updated, and maintained over time.
